ENTRY FEE: £10
MINIMUM SPONSORSHIP: £200

Taking in some of the most celebrated and beautiful routes in the region, these treks features sections of the South Downs Way, Monarch's Way and the Sussex Border Path. With rolling hillsides, the 'legendary beauty spot' Devil's Dyke, and beautiful beaches & cliff tops - this challenge has it all.

New for 2023, and with one and two day options, we get together for the start in central Brighton on both days. We meet up at various points over the weekend, but you will step into the role of navigator on this self-supported walk. There’ll be trails to stick to, and fellow walkers to join up with, but you’ll have to consult your maps which will be annotated and provided to navigate your way around. Whether you choose to walk alone or as part of a group, we will ensure you have an amazing experience.

For someone considering this challenge in the future I’d say absolutely do it. Not only was it an epic physical and mental challenge, it was also one of the most humbling and rewarding adventures I’ve been on. It was an incredible achievement and opportunity to truly see the best in people; sharing stories, support and collective goals. As the aches begin to fade, my gratitude for this amazing charity, and the people it has connected me with, just grows stronger and stronger.” - Sammy (2019)

All that we ask is that you raise at least £500 in sponsorship if your are taking on the full 50 miles or £200 if you are taking on the 1 day challenge. Every penny you raise helps brainstrust change the world for the brain tumour community.  You receive a brainstrust t-shirt, medal, annotated maps. Walkers taking on the full 50 mile trek can join us for dinner on the first night. You’ll also have constant support from when you register, through to when you get to the finish line.

This trek is the one of the toughest of the five Follow the Seagulls routes, so you will need to prepare and train well in advance.

You will need great map reading/orienteering skills and training is a must. You can find further information on training, and your recommended kit list here - note walking boots are a must, your favourite trainers just won't cut it!

To find out more or if you have any questions please contact fundraising@brainstrust.org.uk
